<h1 style="text-align: center;">The Manosphere’s First Crack In The Mainstream</h1>

<p>Last night spelled possible the first crack the manosphere has made into the main stream media, or at least last night I witnessed it. I was watching the Colbert Report when to my surprise I see a segment about an article written by a fox news columnist suzanne venker, and her article entitled the war on men. Of course I always take anything by Fox News with a box of salt, however in her article she states clearly that she seems to have read some of the manosphere’s work. <p>As the author of three books on the American family and its intersection with pop culture, I’ve spent thirteen years examining social agendas as they pertain to sex, parenting, and gender roles. During this time, I’ve spoken with hundreds, if not thousands, of men and women. And in doing so, I’ve accidentally stumbled upon a subculture of men who’ve told me, in no uncertain terms, that they’re never getting married. When I ask them why, the answer is always the same. Women aren’t women anymore.</p>
<h2>Mocking, Sarcasm, and Mainstream Resistance</h2>
<p>Interesting indeed, Colbert read this quote on Comedy Central, and continued to do his mocking schtick where he uses sarcasm to point out usually crazy talk – yet here he was mocking this woman who actually speaks the truth, albeit all too simplistic and naively, but the truth none the less – and I will give you this, if you’re writing comedy Fox news is a treasure trove of material, so much so every comedian should give them royalties, but there’s more here than the usual über religious, bat shit craziness that often comes out of that organization. Was this just a shot at fox news and they found this concept funny, or did the writers at the Colbert Report find it ludicrous, which is often the joke of the schtick?</p>
<p>I’m going with the latter, for we are seeing what will happen when the manosphere gets into the mainstream, that is openly mocked because it doesn’t fit in with the feminized narrative of our world now. Colbert mistakenly quips a joke about men never falling for women at work as a counter point to men not wanting to compete with single women glosses over the fundamental nature of <a href="https://www.loveawake.com/free-online-dating/Netherlands/city-of-Amsterdam.html?gender=male">attraction in single men</a> – that is, it’s just the fact that there are women at work that makes them attracted to them, not that they’re competing with them, in fact that often works against them for any relationship potential, and it has everything to do with the fact that the man finds her hot, not because the competition drives him mad with passion, as it should… in a she world. <h2>Exposure, Opportunity, And The Future</h2>
<p>This is just the main stream media taking on the matriarchal mantel that anything criticizing <a href="https://www.loveawake.com/free-online-dating/Netherlands/city-of-Amsterdam.html?gender=female">single women</a>, even if it’s from a woman herself, is misogynistic and archaic. A narrative that will be mocked for many years to come, if the manosphere starts to take hold in the main stream. So be ready for it. Our early representatives that get set up for interviews will be mocked and hooked into looking foolish and misogynistic. There will be few wins on the stage to begin with.</p>
<p>I was surprised a little by Colbert’s take, I was expecting it to go in a bit of a different direction, knowing his schtick, I figured he would have went into a “duh” routine, not trying to refute what the article was trying to say. But the writers need to make comedy, and it was fairly funny, and in comedy the only rule is to be funny. <p>Taken all this, this is an important day, people are starting to stumble on our counter-culture of pissed off men and the reasons why men are turning away from marriage and even women at all. Even after being mocked, there is good to come out of this, for more exposure will lead people to the manosphere and notions outside the feminized narrative that has poisoned the well for long enough. The key for men is not to try to convince us to go back to the old patriarch, like Colbert’s joke about taking away voting to women (case of misinterpreting the masculine movement) and move towards our over all goals, getting women to be women and men to be men – not in the rights they do or do not have, but in a cultural one, for the cohesion of society and the sexes.</p>
<p>There is a war on men, it’s about time this came to the spotlight of the masses, however it may be mocked, there will be enough men and women who are struggling to understand what’s happening and why it seems to be different from what they see on TV and movies, and what they’re seeing in real life. Any person that’s been happily married for 10 years plus really has no idea what <a href="https://www.loveawake.com/">the dating world</a> is like, and only thus is going to openly mock what we have to say, however truth always finds the light of day.</p>
